Eli and Sarah met at a St. Patrick’s Day–themed Date Cincy event—an evening neither of them was especially eager to attend. They noticed each other early on, though it took a few hours (and a few High Noons) before fate finally brought them together on the patio at Cobblestone. After standing awkwardly across from one another longer than they’d care to admit, the ice was officially broken with everyone’s favorite Cincinnati question: “Where did you go to high school?” From that night on, texting turned into planning their first “official” date, which quickly became a second—and before long, they both knew this was something special. Once Henry gave Eli his stamp of approval (and Pinto did the same for Sarah), they began weaving their lives together. Sarah (and Henry) joined the Murphys for countless FC Cincinnati matches, while Eli got a crash course in the controlled chaos of spring sports season. Over the summer and fall, their relationship grew deeper as they dreamed about what the future might hold. Then, on March 8th, just about 50 feet from where it all began, Eli got down on one knee and asked Sarah to marry him. They cannot wait to celebrate their union with all the people they love most!
