For our fine art and museum lovers, the Norton Simon Museum is located near the heart of Pasadena and features a wonderful collection of 11,000 pieces of art from different eras and from around the world, including pieces by Rembrandt, Goya, Van Gough, Monet, and Picasso. Well worth a visit!
Old Pasadena or "Old Town" as the locals call it, is the downtown historical district of Pasadena that features a great variety of shopping, dining, and entertainment. Old Town is extremely walkable and is located along Colorado Blvd and the surrounding streets, less than 2 miles from our venue and is close to most of our recommended places to stay.
Free tours are available to any of our science-loving guests! JPL is a NASA facility that is the primary construction and control site for a variety of robotic space exploration craft, including all the Mars Rovers, the Juno Jupiter Spacecraft, and the Voyager Deep Space Exploration Program.
For any of our college football fans-check out the Granddaddy of Them All! The Rose Bowl is host to the oldest college bowl game series in the country, dating back to 1902. Tours of the Rose Bowl are available several times throughout the year. The area around the stadium is open to the public and connects to Arroyo Seco trail and recreation area, which features running paths, outdoor recreation areas and sports fields, and hiking trails.
