It's Finally Happening!

Ray and I first met through mutual friends, but we didn't talk much. Over the course of a year, we continued to hang out in the same friend group and became close friends. He was one of my closest friends at the time, but i had no idea he secretly liked me! One drunken night, I mustered up the courage to kiss him and honestly the rest is history from there! Never in a million years did I think he would have been interested in me, but here we are five years later!

The day started out completely normal, we went out to lunch and decided to do some day drinking in Yuma where Ray was stationed. After going to a couple places, Ray told me he wanted to take me somewhere special; but first he had to grab something from the house. He came back down with his bag pack (not suspicious at all LOL) and we headed to the outskirts of town. Meanwhile I was texting my mom telling her how weird he was being, but trying not to get my hopes up! Ray ended up taking me down to the river, we pulled up along the bank and I got out to put my feet in the water. He put the song "I didn't know me before you" on and brought over a book he had made that was titled "My Reasons Why". I read through the book of all the reasons why he loved me, I was in TEARS, on the last page it said "So will you..." to which I looked down and Ray was on one knee with the most beautiful ring!
