Check back here for updates at any time! This will be where any changes are listed and other important information.

Yes. You are welcome to bring your own food. If you inform us of dietary restrictions, we may be able to have Guy's make you a special plate. You will need to talk with us well ahead of time for anything like that to be arranged. Otherwise, you are welcome to bring your own.
The food at guys will not contain any nuts. The kitchen it is prepared in only does one dish with nuts and that is an almond green bean. We will not be serving this but other wedding that night may. If you are very seriously concerned with cross contamination, you may want to bring your own food. The cookies and cakes may contain nuts. If you inform us of your allergy, we will set aside special nut free cookies and cake for you. The ceremony and picnic location at Coventry Oaks, will not have anything with nuts in it at all.
No. The park where the ceremony and picnic are being held is a dry location. The reception at Guy's does not allow you to bring alcohol of your own either. However, the bar will be open at Guy's the entire reception from 5:30pm until 10:30pm. If you are heading back to the hotel after the reception, we will be asking them to keep their bar open late for us as well.
For the ceremony and reception, we ask that you dress semi-formal or dressy casual. For the picnic, just be comfortable in anything you wish.
You may leave your car at Guy's or at the Hotel. You may not leave your car overnight at the park. If you are planning on using the shuttle to get back to the hotel after the reception, you may want to drop your car off at the hotel and ride the shuttle to the reception between the ceremony and the reception. You may also leave your car at Guy's so feel free to drive from the ceremony to the reception and ride the shuttle to the Hotel after. Someone can help you get back to your car the next morning.
The cookie table is a time honored Pittsburgh wedding tradition. Traditionally, friends and family of the couple prepare the cookies. Many take advantage of this to break out their best or most unusual cookie recipes. Often containing hundreds of dozens of cookies, the cookie table is something to be enjoyed during the wedding and then taken home with guests. If you would like to help us by providing cookies for the table, please contact us. You are not required to bring cookies but if you want to contribute, it would be greatly appreciated. We would accept store bought cookies too if baking isn't something you do. Please let us know if any cookies contain nuts of any kind.
The cookie table will be accessible as soon as the reception starts. You may also take some left over cookies home in the provided boxes.

The picnic will be from 11am until 4pm on Monday, May 27th. This is Memorial Day and since often times couples get less than an ideal amount of time to spend with their guests at the actual wedding, and so many people will be coming from out of town, we thought it might be nice to throw a going away picnic to wrap things up. All are welcome and invited. You may arrive or leave at any time. There will be a ton of great food, games, and music. We have rented the lodge we are using for the ceremony for the picnic and it is a fantastic indoor and outdoor space. We really hope you stick around for this event and enjoy some time with friends and family. Tony and Jean, the 2 incredible Chefs in the family, are preparing the food for this event so its not something you will want to miss.

Please keep that in mind when making your reservations.
There is a limit on how many people we can hold in our reception area so the number of seats you have been allocated should be indicated on your invitation.
