We met through mutual friends in High School. First off, let me start by saying that while I introduced myself first, the very first words Sam said to me when we met were commenting on how short I was. Either I was really short or his truck was really tall or both, still unsure. Not thinking anything of it, we both joined in on a trip to a friends lake house in Lago Vista, Texas. I called shot gun in Sam's big blue ford truck that morning and that's where it all started. Best friends from the start right there. I can still tell you nearly every song played on that CD he had in his truck (wow, that's embarrassing). We were only 16 years old with not a care in the world back then but that trip along with a few bumps in the road and a whole lot of growing in between we have not stopped loving each other since then. Through high school, Community College onto College (Texas A&M University - WHOOP!), through graduation, and now engagement. Through thick and thin, together we make a winning team!

BEST. DAY. EVER. At the Anderson’s farm in Chandler, Texas where the best memories have been shared, Sam got down on one knee and asked me the easiest question of my life. He hand made me the most sincere and thoughtful gift to make this moment even more special, a bench with my new initials (KSM) carved inside a heart with 12-24-16 carved in the bottom right corner. The absolute sweetest. Never had I'd been so excited, surprised and extremely giddy all at the same time. Talk about a whirlwind of emotions! With our family and friends there to celebrate with us, it was absolutely perfect. Christmas Eve 2016 - best day of our journey so far. Cheers to all our friends and family who are the biggest liars I've ever met 😉, thank you for making this day perfect. Rain and all! We wouldn't have had it any other way. These past 9 years have been so much fun, we can’t wait for the next forever!!! NOW LETS GET MARRIED!

I was in fear of the tears that would accompany as I sum up any words to what she means to me and how ecstatic I am to see her be loved by truly one of my favorite humans. From the very beginning of our lives Kellie and I have been more like sisters than cousins. Inseparable. Always doing the same things, going through the same stages, same terrible haircuts, all of it. Probably about 3 people (my parents/daughter) have loved me as fiercely as her. She has fought for me and championed me more than most in my life. I want to love like her, she is the kinda love that people die trying to achieve and she does it without effort. She’s my hero and to get to be the one who stands by her on her wedding day is truly, in the least generic way, the greatest honors of my life. I met sam thanksgiving probably 7 years ago now. We went and picked him up to come eat with our family. A redneck, red haired, sweet and (at the time) quiet boy. It was hard to imagine him being able to reign in all that Kellie is. Boy, was I in for a surprise. Sam is the exact perfect fit for kellie. He’s everything she’s not and vice versa. Not only is Sam everything she’s not(in the best way) he’s everything our entire family isn’t. He’s more than a freakishly perfect fit for her, he’s a perfect fit for our family. I always joke Sam isn’t just marrying kellie, he’s marrying me too and that doesn’t seem like a bad deal, honestly. He will learn to love it! Sam is the perfect calm to any chaos. He has stood by me and loved my daughter in some really deep waters and I’m so thankful it’s Sam. It doesn’t get better than him and I’m fully convinced of that. I’ve learned a lot of what love is in just watching their love unfold. Sam dies for kellie. He serves her and loves her deeply. Which is a true answer to prayer. Kellie adores Sam. She continues to chose Sam and anything that comes their way with grace and commitment. Excited to see their future commitment grow. I love them both so much I could combust.
