Question

What is Black Tie Optional?

Answer

Guests may choose to wear their most formal clothing, such as an evening gown or tuxedo, but they may also opt to wear a dark formal suit, cocktail dress or dressy separates. *Please note the ceremony is outdoors. We will provide heel protectors for the grass but try to plan your footwear accordingly.

Question

Why Cincinnati?

Answer

Jamie is originally from a small town 25 minutes North of Cincinnati. Kevin is from Springfield, Illinois but the majority of his family have since moved. We were going back and forth between hosting our wedding in Cincinnati or Chicago when we discovered our venue on Youtube. Built in 1928 in the Tudor Revival style, the historic mansion designed by nationally significant architect, Dwight James Baum is located on 18 acres. The home was the estate of famed inventor, innovator and former owner of the Cincinnati Reds, Powel Crosley, Jr. The history of the building remains intact in both obvious and subtle ways. Crosley built his own ingenuity into the mansion, including lights that turn on when a door is opened, an eight-head shower and a hidden wine cellar used during prohibition to throw elaborate parties. After a visit with our families, we immediately knew Pinecroft at Crosley Estate was our spot. We cannot wait to share the day here with our families and friends.
