We met at Maggie Mae's bar on Halloween night of 2015 in Austin, Texas. I was Disney princess (Ariel to be exact) and Ross a shower loofah. Yes, a loofah. Ross was out on the town with his Army buddies, and I was celebrating the holiday with my sorority sisters. When Ross informed me that he was from Alaska I quite literally laughed out loud, I thought he was kidding. Needless to say, he was not! We were inseparable from that evening forward.

We planned an "Alaskan" summer adventure. A road trip in our camper from the big city of Anchorage to Valdez then on to McCarthy. Three days into our trip we were leaving Valdez and traveling through the beautiful mountains of Thompson Pass when we stopped for a scenic walk. We were the only two people around and the sun was shining, and the mountains were grand. I was busy taking in the scenery when Ross said, "Hey look at this rock..." and what a rock it was! It was a day that neither of us will ever forget. We are so excited to celebrate our love with you all. See you in Alaska!
