Austin City Limits Music Festival
Starting Oct. 2nd, spend the weekend after the wedding at the world famous Austin City Limits music festival!
BARTON SPRINGS POOL
Right in the heart of Austin, take a dip in this public river fed pool to cool off!
Hamilton Pool
A nice short walk with a beautiful cave/pool, and in the other direction on the trail a nice lazy river to splash around in. Pack a picnic!
Austin Zoo
A small zoo, but an enjoyable few hours. Buy a bag of treats and feed the goats, sheep, llamas, and alpacas!
South Congress Avenue
Lots of shops and restaurants to walk around and explore.
6th Street Bars
BARS, BARS, BARS! There are three sections of Sixth Street in Austin: West, East and what locals refer to as Dirty. West Sixth is the section of Sixth Street that runs west from Congress Avenue. For the most part, the nightlife scene ends at North Lamar Boulevard.
Bat Bridge!
From March to October, 1.5 million bats emerge nightly from narrow crevices in the underside of the Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue Bridge. They usually start to emerge from the bridge around 20 minutes before sundown.
