The Time Has Come...

Rodney and Nadine have known each other since 2004. They often reminisce on their teenage years (wild times) having crossed paths in high school. These 2 know each other's stories inside and out. The good, the not so good and everything in between. With the intertwined mix of mutual friends and extracurriculars, they were brought in each other lives as young adolescents. Having been friends over the years, they found each other at a different chapter in life where they were both single and sparked what they would call the best chapter of their lives so far. Thanks to Charles (Nadine's Brother) having stayed in contact with Rodney, Nadine would search out an opportunity to see Rodney for what she says was their first date at "Fire On The Mountain" for wings in early 2015. Yes Charles was also there :) Rodney assumed Nadine was settled in the mountains and didn't know her attraction for him until Nadine coordinated with Charles after having wings. It was like a game of Telephone for Charles to relay messages and info back an forth... Why didn't Nadine just tell Rodney she really liked him as more than a friend? Because she was used to bossing her little brother around to find out more info from Rodney and get the inside scoop as to what Rodney thought about her. The verdict was in. He was also interested in her! Nadine was living and working in Aspen at this time. Rodney was living in Wheat Ridge busy as a dad to Ezekiel and working as an electrician. At their 'first date' Nadine explains a sense of feeling at Home when getting to catch up with Rodney. It was refreshing to be with someone who knows the past, coming as they were and having this unspoken connection and history of friendship. Rodney was dead set on never getting married or having more kids. Nadine on the other hand had other ideas. She saw him as her partner, the father of her future children and explains the life they have now is the one she saw for them all along. Rodney's incredible work ethic, amazing taste in music, his dance moves, good looks, laugh (she has always loved his laugh), ability to make her feel so alive and loved was the best combination for her (and her future babies ;)). It wasn't long before these two were falling asleep on the phone, in love, sharing stories and deep thoughts. Nadine would commute to Denver at all hours of the morning to see Rodney before work and then drive back to Aspen for her job. Rodney would drive to the mountains in snow storms, no license at the time, in his Kia Sportage 4 wheeling his way to love. Nadine would move back to Denver after 4 months of dating and they were quickly engaged in October 2015. As life happens, many other things would come up before an official wedding or ceremony would take place. Here they are, 10 years later, 2 more beautiful babies birthed, Zeke becoming an amazing older brother, on their 4th house, Rodney becoming a Journeyman Electrician, Nadine completing her Masters Degree in School Counseling, adding 2 French Bulldogs Cocoa and Mila, adopting a cat they named Lennox, fish tank, hamster Oreo and a bearded dragon named Chicken Wing. Their life has been full of many adventures and they look forward to many more! They are so THANKFUL to have you as their friends and family !!!
