Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Suzanne Patackis and Robert Leopold
We fell in love with Allenberry and the Boiling Springs area...and we hope you do too! We are excited to share with you some of our favorite places. The Yellow Breeches Creek runs through the property and is a sought after fly fishing spot. The Playhouse has been open since 1949 and offers a full calendar of musicals and comedy. Relax in the main lobby by the fire or rejuveniate in the Changes Salon & Spa. Rise and Shine Yoga is held Sunday mornings at 9am. Down the road are a few places to grab a bite or a beer. The Appalachian trail runs right through town and Children's Lake is great "lovers" stroll with a hot cocoa or coffee. There is lots to do, so make sure you take the time to enjoy! xo

The Playhouse at Allenberry Resort

The Playhouse at Allenberry Resort

"The Man Who Saved Christmas" will be playing at the Playhouse the weekend of our wedding. This very merry new holiday musical is based on the true story of A.C. Gilbert, inventor of the Erector Set. Set in 1917, when America was embroiled in the first World War, this “New Old-Fashioned” crowd-pleaser focuses on Gilbert’s battle with the U.S. government as it attempts to ban toy sales during the holiday season. The toe-tapping melodies of the musical numbers accurately and charmingly echo the World War I era, and dancing factory workers, singing soldiers, chorus lines of happy kids, and know-it-all politicians make Mr. Gilbert’s story sting!
