Bumble, baby! Seven sentences into their first chat, Rob asked Lauren out. Their first date was Thai food in Silverlake followed by drinks at the Thirsty Crow. Date two was Dave & Busters (where Rob won Lauren a bracelet in a claw machine 😉) and then more games and drinks at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Their third date started at a puppy cafe before heading to the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena. By the fourth date, Lauren was ready to ask Rob to help her move heavy stuff around, so they repotted some big plants while chatting about this new coronavirus thing and whether or not it would be a big deal. Well, the Covid lockdown happened a few days later, Rob and Lauren decided to be each other's quarantine buddy, and the rest is history.

Rob proposed to Lauren on the eve of the winter solstice on the snowy banks of the Blue River in Breckenridge, Colorado. After tears, champagne, and a laugh-filled snowball fight or two, they celebrated the engagement back at the hotel lodge with Lauren’s family. Everyone then had a a wonderful dinner. The Vitolos was there in spirit (and FaceTime) and got to celebrate with Rob and Lauren a few days later in Connecticut. It was magical day!
