This courtship has been years in the making. Long before they ever actually had a conversation, Mark and Rebecca crossed paths as early as 2011 at Fernwood Middle School when Rebecca was playing on her underdog volleyball team and Mark was working the nets. He noticed her vibrancy and energy on the court. It wasn't until 2015, though, that they started talking more. Wednesday nights Mark would serve looks to Rebecca and one night proposed the idea of coaching a volleyball team. As luck would have it for both of them, they ended up coaching together - he the head coach, she the assistant. They slowly got to know each other over the 5 month season but it wasn't until the summer that their friendship really took off. Rebecca asked Mark to help her train for the annual Seaside Beach Volleyball Tournament. He agreed, which led to 3-4 days per week of training, meals out, and getting to know one another even more. By the end of the summer Rebecca and Mr White Tee turned their friendship into a romance and the rest is history.
