We're are excited to celebrate with you!

I'll never forget the day I decided to send that fateful text to Raman, and definitely never thought it would have led to all of this, but here we are. This time it was my cousin from India who was sending me some pictures of a random girl with the question, "well what do you think? She's pretty right?" How does one even respond to something like that? Honestly, I was planning on blowing it off, but I was entering my late 20's and by desi standards, I might as well be an old man at this point. So, the pressure was coming down from all sides. That being said, it was my sister's words that resonated the most. "Just text her, tell mom and dad it's not gonna work out, and move on." I know, so romantic, huh? Though that's exactly what I did, I texted her, and she texted back. That text then led to a call which eventually led to the first date which has led from one amazing adventure to another. Together Raman and I have camped under the stars, snorkeled with sea turtles, and almost even burned down a house. With each adventure, we grew closer together I can't wait to see where this union will lead us! Randeep Basara

In a Punjabi family, it feels like once you turn 25 years old, all anyone asks is "when are you getting married?" And when family members are trying to set you up, it is definitely the more awkward version of online dating. So when my aunt sent me a text message about Randeep, I rolled my eyes because I assumed it would lead nowhere. But after meticulously reviewing my aunts' limited knowledge of Randeep, I begrudgingly allowed my aunt to share my number with him because I thought he was cute. Looking back, it was probably one of the best decisions I've made. It lead to a series of text messages, calls and after 2 months of communicating, our first date in Vancouver, BC. Now over two years later, we've danced in the streets, hiked to some amazing views, driven through wildfires and camped under the stairs.
