Flight
United Airlines / Philippine Airlines PAL
We typically fly United Airlines to the Philippines, with either a stop in Narita, Seoul or Dubai. Trips can last up to~24 hours from New York. Philippine Airlines also offers direct flights to Manila from many locations around the globe including - In the US: JFK, LAX, SFO, SEA. Once you get to Manila you will need to transfer to the local flights terminal and fly on a small local plane to Bacolod. Its about 45 mins south of Manila by plane. You can take PAL or Cebu Pacific for these local flights. Wear comfortable clothes, stay hydrated and bring a sleeping mask + travel pillow! Try to buy your plane tickets at least 6 months in advance. Please reach out to us for any booking question you may have. We hope to see you there and can't wait to celebrate this moment with you!

Our wedding planner has arranged a block of rooms with a slight discount. Please contact our wedding planner, Jellyn Lamela, via text on WhatsApp at +63 922 990 4183 and she will book the room for you. With the discount, rooms range from 3,500 - 5,500 pesos ($61-$95) a night. Feel free to reach out to us and we can send you the types of rooms with the published rates, pre-discount. This hotel is across the street from May's Garden. We will have shuttle service available to and from the venue. More to come on schedule as the date approaches.

Things To Do
Lakawon Island Beach Resort
Great little beach island just a 1 hour card ride and quick boat ride north of Bacolod. Very relaxing beach resort. Great place to just unwind and turn off! Also has a floating bar and other water activities. Go for a day trip or stay a couple nights!
Coffee Trail Tour + Other Historic Bacolod Tours
Book a tour to explore Minoyan’s coffee farms. The tour is guided by the Slow Food Coffee Coalition. Start with locally grown coffee and suman, then trek to the Cañete Family’s farm to learn about sustainable coffee farming and harvest techniques. Enjoy a traditional farmer’s lunch and, in the afternoon, participate in a coffee cupping session at Coffee Culture, savoring the rich flavors of local beans. This experience connects sustainable farming, local culture, and the community. This site also offers other historic tours of Bacolod and its neighboring towns!
Negros Forest Park
A great place to learn about rare endemic plants to Negros Island, including the Visayan Spotted Deer - the world's smallest deer!
Chicken House - Main Branch
Bacolod is famous for its Chicken Inasal. Hands down the best bbq chicken in the world. Restaurants have tried to replicate it outside of the Philippines, but nothing is better than the source! Make sure you get it with the garlic rice and Inasal Chicken Oil! Chicken House is a staple but there are plenty of other options for Inasal in Bacolod. Other Inasal places to try: Masskara Chicken Aida's Inasal de Ilonggo
Go hiking around Negros Island!
Lots of hiking opportunities here on our little island. Some easy, some very challenging. If you ever wanted to hike up a volcano this is one of the places to do it (just make sure its not active when you go)!
Go to Cebu!
Cebu is a quick flight from Bacolod or if you're feeling adventurous you can go by boat! Plenty of resorts here, hiking, waterfalls + Cebu City itself a great place visit with lots of rich history. Also very popular as one of the few places in the world you can swim with Whale Sharks!
