I first met Rachel through Greek Life at Cal Poly and was immediately attracted to Rachel's bubbly personality and cute looks. Since I was still a freshman, I had to pull out all the stops, including asking her on a date to the on-campus Burger Bar, the fanciest student dining option, and had to pay with my 'polycard' which had points on it. I then wised up and asked her on a second date to a real restaurant (off-campus), and through many more college parties, school, and social events, our relationship was off and running. The natural progression of this fun, college-filled romance quickly turned into real love, proven by a two-year long-distance relationship while Rachel was living and working in San Francisco and I was still at Cal Poly and then Los Angeles after graduation. Eventually, through many trips back and forth along with plenty of fun-filled adventures, we landed together in Santa Barbara which we now call home. Time flies when you've got a good thing, and our relationship has continued to flourish over the past 9 years. I proposed to Rachel on her birthday in February 2022 on the beach in Santa Barbara. It was a perfect morning and we couldn't be more excited for what the future holds and to celebrate our marriage with everyone in October.
