Welcome dear friends! We can't wait to celebrate with you in 2019 as we take on the next phase of our life together. The big bash is set for 4th of July weekend next year. There will be an informal Friday night Sangeet while the ceremony and reception will be at a botanical gardens in Virginia. (We are a DMV couple after all!) We hope to see you there! Devika grew up in Potomac, MD, about 30 minutes outside of DC. She went to a Catholic, girls' preparatory school Connelly School of the Holy Child for middle and high school. She earned a BA in Neuroscience from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA and an MS in Data Analytics from American University. Quinn grew up in Bethesda, MD, about 15 minutes from DC. He attended a Quaker, coed preparatory school Sidwell Friends School from elementary through high school. He earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Quinn and Devika currently live in Reston, VA with their puppy Baloo. They both work in the technology field: Quinn as a security engineer and Devika as a data scientist. Their interests include traveling, stand-up comedy, puzzles, tapas and Spanish wines, fandoms (Doctor Who, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings), and spending time with friends and family.

Our story began back in 2013 when Devika first read Quinn's profile online and met on a bright July afternoon in Bethesda. The two quickly discovered and bonded over their respective nerdery: Quinn's puzzles and Devika's mirror neurons often inspired their flirtatious banter. Five years later, we've traveled from coast to coast and across the globe, earned a graduate degree, renovated our dream home, and introduce a furry pup to the family. We can't wait for this exciting new chapter of our lives to begin!

One cool night in December 2017, Devika came home after a long day of work and having just finished a grueling semester at university. Quinn surprised her with a weekend trip away - but insisted on keeping the destination a secret. Devika packed a bag for all contingencies - formalwear, athleisure, hiking gear - and got in the car. Heading out from their Rosslyn apartment, Quinn made just 6 turns over 10 minutes before the car stopped outside the cozy lobby of the Ritz Carlton in Georgetown, complete with a glittering Christmas tree. After a private and nervous dinner, the couple strolled through Georgetown down to the Potomac River, where they stopped in front of a bright and cheery ice skating rink. The Kennedy Center was all lit up and reflected all the way across the water. Quinn tried to kneel, but Devika was so cold, she couldn't bear to let go of him! He told her how much he loved her and popped the question, to which Devika responded "Yes!" with absolute conviction.
