Question

Where will the ceremony and reception be taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will take place in the Assembly Chamber within the Wisconsin Capitol building in downtown Madison, WI. The reception will take place across the street in the second floor of the Coopers Tavern restaurant. Both will be indoors, but plan to walk the short two minute walk between locations!

Am I able to bring a friend or plus one?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we can only accommodate those formally listed on the wedding invitation. If you received a plus-one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP.

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is semi-formal attire. That generally means cocktail dresses, evening dresses, casual suits, slacks, button-downs, and sports coats (ties or no ties) are all perfect for our wedding. The event is entirely indoors, so feel free to wear heels! You'll likely feel underdressed in jeans, sneakers, and t-shirts. If in doubt, don't hesitate to reach out to us and ask.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions (like the bride!), please don't hesitate to reach out to us and we will do everything we can to try and accommodate your needs.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

It's important to note that the day of our wedding will be a very busy Saturday in Madison. The Dane County Farmers' Market will be taking place on all four sides of the capitol square from 6:15AM – 1:45PM. There is also a home Badgers football game taking place that day. Parking will be limited downtown but there will be street parking and multiple parking garages available near the capitol.
