Things To Do

We're excited to share a few of our favorite places in Waxahachie

El Mexicano Grill

114 East Franklin Street, Waxahachie, TX 75165

One of the De La Cruz family favorites—we especially love their enchiladas. Naomi says they have the best fries she’s ever had, and we have to agree.

The Doves Nest

105 West Jefferson Street, Waxahachie, TX 75165

Recommended by our maid of honor, Jennifer. It's her must go-to when she's in Waxahachie.

White Rhino Coffee

414 West Main Street, Waxahachie, TX 75165

The secret sauce on their 'Breakfast Sandwich' is life changing good.

Hooky Entertainment Waxahachie

108 Broadhead Road, Waxahachie, TX 75165

We came here on our first date on January 3rd of this year—and needless to say, we had a blast. The rest is history.

Getzendaner Park

400 South Grand Avenue, Waxahachie, TX 75165

We love going on little Pokemon-Go adventures and trail walks here with David’s kids, Daniel and Naomi.

The Wyrd and Wand Archive

113 North College Street, Waxahachie, TX 75165

A two-story Harry Potter-themed bookstore for our Harry Potter lover friends and family.

Ohana - *Sushi*Ramen*Poke

1101 U.S. 287 Bypass, Waxahachie, TX 75165

One of our favorite dinner date spot in town. Our favorites are the White Tiger Roll and the chicken fried rice with extra eggs.

Gingerbread House

425 East Ross Street, Waxahachie, TX 75165

Enjoy spotting the variety of Gingerbread homes in this charming town, that will be our home together. Explore the intricate detailing, craftsmanship, and design that earned the city its whimsical nickname "The Gingerbread City".

Hachie Heart

If you make a trip to the downtown area of Waxahachie you'll notice giant painted hearts in various nooks and crannies throughout. This public art project is called "Hachie Hearts" and features twenty-one unique painted hearts by local artists and each heart is sponsored by local businesses. This project is part of the city's "A Place in Your Heart, Texas" campaign. Attached is the Hachie Hearts Trail if you are feeling adventurous to explore them all.
