They say you can't find love on Tinder, but that's where we found ours. After one unusually short chat, we exchanged numbers and two days later we had our first date. We met at T.G.I.F. on a Friday for dinner and drinks. Unfortunately and fortunately we didn't know T.G.I.F. upped their bar atmosphere and had a DJ on the weekends. Despite the distraction of the dance party, we had felt a unique connection we continue to grow even now.

The morning the couple left for a college send off trip for Portia's sister, Amya, Darius shared he was finally going to propose months after purchasing the perfect ring. After setting up a tent on the sunny beach of Sullivan's Island, Darius pretended to look for sunscreen. He rummaged through the tote after shortly pulling out a gray box. After a short speech, he opened the box and without a second's past, Portia exclaimed "You didn't have to show me that. I was going to say yes anyway".
