I saw a picture of Henry 12-16-17. I remember the date because I still have that picture on my phone. OUR STORY: One of my Besties met Henry on a dating app. They met to have drinks. For her safety I told her to send me a picture of him. We barely discussed the date the next day. Between April-May ‘18 I asked my friend, “Whatever happened to that fine piece of chocolate you went on a date with?” She laughed because she knew exactly who I was asking about. She had two dates: the other one was light-skinned. She answered, “He wasn’t into me & I’ll be honest with you. I thought about you while on that date. He’s more on your level. I didn’t say anything because you were seeing someone at the time.” Then, she texts him, “What’s up?” He asked, “Who is this?” She laughed and said, “Oh he deleted my number!” After reminding him she asked, “Are you dating someone?” I said, “No that’s not how you do this! He thinks you’re trying to holla’ back. Tell him you have a friend that’s asking about him. I’ll take it from there.” He asked for my pic. We text & talked on the phone here and there not every day. One night on the phone he asked for my picture: no make-up, no filter. OUR 1st DATE - After talking a while on the phone, by text, he asked me on a date. We met for a late date at Pearl’s. Conversation & everything was smooth. I wasn’t shy at all & ordered like I’d known him forever. (I like to eat)! He kept trying to get me to order a drink, telling the waitress to bring me a margarita. I kept saying, “No. I’m good. I don’t drink.” He didn’t believe me. I saw his smile & the way he was looking at me. Maybe it was because I was talking a lot. Whatever I was talking about he enjoyed it. He wasn’t a talker. I’m very much a talker. At the end of dinner, I said to him, “We can go dutch no problem. Ain’t nothing free in this world." Here we are 6-5-21 starting our journey as Husband & Wife.
