DTW (Detroit, MI): Cheapest flights and layover location to TC airport. 4 hour drive to TC but closer to 6 hours during holiday traffic. GRR (Grand Rapids, MI): Moderate flight cost. 2.5 hour drive to TC but closer to 4 hours during holiday traffic. TVC (Traverse City, MI): Expensive flight cost. Downtown traverse city is a 10 minute drive

Due to the time of year, we were unable to get room blocks. Please book hotels 4 to 6 months in advance. July 4th weekend is the busiest time of year in Traverse City and accommodations fill up quickly. There are also many beautiful condos and rental homes in the area so we urge you to do some exploring if these options don't fit your taste.
