We met at Iowa State University, through friends during summer break in 2014. He came over to my (Chloe's) apartment to watch The Bachelorette with a group of us, talked trash about the show the entire time & kissed me on the way out. I was conflicted yet intrigued. From graduation, to rescuing the love of our life, Sully, to moving in together & buying our first home this last year, we've been through just about everything together - one big thing left to do on that list, marriage!

In 2020, we were desperate to go on a trip but didn't feel comfortable hopping on a flight due to the risk of COVID so we settled on staying somewhere in the Midwest on the condition that it would be new to both of us. La Crosse is just a quick four hour drive from Des Moines so we thought, why not! Little did I know, Devin was planning on proposing there. Even before he asked, we had an amazing time and fell in love with the sweet little river town but now it has a whole new meaning to us. We can't imagine a better place to celebrate & share our love with the people we love most!
