Patrick met Karla at the AA Convention in Long Beach CA on November 26th, 2022 before worship had begun. He had the courage to introduce himself to her and they spoke for hours, what felt like time flew by so fast. One of their first conversations was about true love and they quoted scripture that night. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. " -1 Corinthians 13:4-8 As their friendship grew so did their love for each other. Being seven hours away increased faith for their relationship. They fasted, prayed and felt ready to begin their relationship on November 26th, 2023. He had asked her at Disneyland as she cried and said "Yes"! They went on creating the most beautiful memories doing things they both love. Services, camping, playing video games, road trips, family events and many FaceTime calls. On September 20th, 2025 Patrick got on a knee and asked Karla to marry him. She cried and of course said "Yes"! Celebrate with us!
