Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

All of the wedding events will be Flagstaff casual, meaning plaid shirts and jeans are a-okay. Whatever you choose to wear, we ask that you dress appropriately for the summer weather. It will be hot and sunny during the day, with cooler temperatures at night. Also note that the ceremony location is outside in a park, please wear flats!

How do I get to the ceremony location?

Answer

VENUE AND TIME CHANGE: Due to the forest closures and extreme fire danger, the ceremony location has been moved to Buffalo Park in the Flagstaff city limits. Buffalo Park is a short five minute drive from downtown Flagstaff. The park can also be reached by bus or Uber/taxi. Amenities at the ceremony location include a picnic shelter, water fountain, and portable toilets. The ceremony will be held outside in the sun, shade umbrellas will be provided. Printed directions will be provided when you arrive in Flagstaff. Please designate a driver if you plan on indulging before the ceremony.

What can we expect at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be short and sweet. We ask that you arrive about 30 minutes early to take photos with the bride and groom and get settled. The ceremony will last about 20 minutes, the bride and groom will kiss to seal the deal, and then we will head back to downtown Flagstaff for the reception. In total you will be outside in the sun for about one hour. Water and shade umbrellas will be provided. Please stay hydrated, the only one that should faint at a wedding is the groom!

What's the deal with the reception?

Answer

The reception will be held at the historic Weatherford Hotel in downtown Flagstaff. There will be about an hour break between the ceremony and the reception, you will have time to return to your hotel or accommodations to rest, change, or drop off your vehicle. We encourage walking to the venue or taking an uber, lyft, or taxi. The reception will be held in the ballroom, located on the third floor adjacent to the Zane Grey bar and balcony. A buffet dinner will be served, followed by music and mingling. The reception will end promptly at 9:00pm, but the party will continue at the Gopher Hole bar located in the basement of the Weatherford Hotel.
