Some of you may have gotten the edited version of how Parker & I met and some of you may have heard the real story - so here's the story. First and foremost, a special thank you goes out to Jp Walker or we would not be here today writing the 'how we met' section. It was January 2018 when Jp & Parker had a fun night out, and decided to use Parker's phone to direct message me. Parker & I had never met before, and the rest is history. In all seriousness, that is the very brief story of how we met- and here we are today living together in Charleston, SC.
Parker & I were on our drive back to Syracuse, NY from Charleston, SC to visit our families, as we like to do every summer. Parker had suggested we do a special date day together, because of quarantine and our new puppy there hadn't been much opportunity to really get out just the two of us, and I of course could not have been more excited. He even encouraged me to find a new outfit for our "date day" and I had no issue with that at all. Long story short, there were about 10 different times I could have easily caught on to this surprise and didn't- which I'm so glad at how big of a surprise it was! My nails had even chipped the day before the proposal, and his sister Carly asked me if I wanted to get my nails done, and I had no hesitation with that either. Finally, the day of the proposal. Parker & I stayed over at my moms house, wake up around 10AM and I walk down to the kitchen to find Parker mixing himself a drink... and still thought nothing of it, he was just excited for our date. He had planned a day at Anyela's Winery in Skaneateles, NY and we head out that way (after he was clearly on a very strict time schedule). And to make this story even funnier, Parker wore a suit jacket, in June, on our date day and I still questioned nothing. This all led up to Parker leading me out to a beautiful gazebo at Aneyela's, where he even had hired a professional photographer to capture the entire thing. The love and surprise/shock I felt in that moment is a feeling I will never forget. Parker had our families waiting in the parking lot after he proposed and all of our friends waiting back at his parents house for a surprise engagement party. I wish I could relive this day over and over again!
