Like any good 21st-century love story, Riley and Jordan's began when they both swiped right. They met for their first date on July 5, 2018 in DC - both wearing business casual and backpacks because they came straight from work. They had such a good time talking, though, that they decided to meet up again two days later for the Smithsonian Folklife Festival. Many more dates - and six years together - have followed. Riley quasi-moved into Jordan's apartment in March 2020, after they made the brave decision to quarantine together during COVID. The world may have sucked, but living together was nice - and they moved into their first shared apartment in September 2020. Riley and Jordan also made the most important decision of their lives in September 2020 and adopted the best cat to ever exist, Winnie. In March 2023, Riley, Jordan and Winnie made a big leap to the Big Apple. Riley had always dreamed of living in NYC, and Jordan missed the area after growing up nearby. The time since then has been a roller coaster of adapting to city life and new jobs, navigating a stressful layoff, meeting wonderful new friends, having unforgettable adventures, and feeling both a little homesickness and a whole lot of love for their new home. Riley and Jordan couldn't imagine doing it with anyone else. In September 2023, Riley and Jordan took an incredible trip to Colombia. Jordan proposed at a beautiful lake near Guatapé, a colorful town outside Medellín. It was everything Riley could have wished for - and they are now so excited to celebrate their upcoming wedding day with you.
