Christian and I met at a car show in Helen, GA back in 2014. We remained friends for a while until we decided we just couldn't get enough of each others company. Christian at the time was living in Richmond, working on his masters degree in education at VCU while working full time, and coaching high school baseball. I (Christina) was living in Virginia Beach at the time and was working full time. Because Christian was busy a lot of the time, I drove up to Richmond to see him almost every weekend to spend all the time I could with him, even if it was for a couple of hours. I couldn't get enough of him. After a year of dating, we decided it would be a good idea for me to move up to Richmond with him. 7.5 years later, on April 16th, 2022, we were at the beach in Oregon Inlet, NC (our happy place) with our closest friends and family celebrating (WHAT I THOUGHT) Easter and I suppose my birthday. Well, that wasn't the case at all.. While everyone started to sing me happy birthday, Christian pulled me into the middle of the group. He then got down on one knee, presented his grandmas engagement ring and popped the very UNEXPECTED question, "Will you marry me?"....... My response was evident that I didn't think it was actually true nor would ever happen (which I was ok with). My stomach sank right down to my butt. We've been through so much together and have had the privilege to watch each other grow together as individuals and as a couple. I don't really want to make this seem like it's one sided, but Christian truly is my best friend. I don't know what I'd do without him and his goofy self. I'd like to think he feels the same way as I do (; Well, there's obviously more to the story like our awesome dogs and how our love for them is unconditional, but I think thats the gist of it. We seriously cannot wait for you all to be apart of our big day and celebration. It truly means the world to us!
