FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For Men Please wear a black tuxedo with a white formal dress shirt and a black bow tie. Black dress shoes are expected. A black cummerbund or vest is perfectly appropriate. For Women We invite you to wear a full-length black gown or a formal black cocktail dress. Shoes and accessories can vary, but attire should remain predominantly black to align with the overall aesthetic.

Question

Is the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

No, the ceremony and reception will be at different locations. The ceremony is at St. Gertrude Church, and the reception is at the Kellermans' property. You can find the addresses for both locations under the "Schedule" tab. Travel time between the church and the reception site is approximately 40 minutes.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we are planning an adult-only celebration. We hope this provides a relaxing evening for everyone, and we truly appreciate your understanding.

Question

Is the reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held indoors. The reception will be outside under a tent on the grass, so we suggest guests wear comfortable and stable shoes suitable for lawn surfaces. Since our wedding is in Cincinnati on September 12, typical temperatures range from 62°F in the evening to about 80°F during the day. The tent will offer shade and cover, but we advise bringing a light layer in case it cools off in the evening.

Question

Will the event be unplugged?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to refrain from taking photos or videos during the wedding Mass. As we’ll be in a Church—a sacred place and house of worship—we ask that phones be put away and that no one steps into the aisle so our photographers can capture clean, unobstructed shots. Once we arrive at the reception, feel free to take as many photos as you’d like. We’d love for you to capture and share the joy of the celebration!
