Oscar’s and Isela story began at a friend’s carne asada cookout, where they talked and got to know each other a little. The very next day, Isela was invited to a volleyball event, quietly hoping she might run into Oscar again. At the same time, Oscar had also been invited—and was hoping Isela would be there too. As fate would have it, they both showed up. Not long after, they exchanged numbers and began texting, getting to know each other more each day. They started spending time together—going kayaking, attending a jaripeo, and creating special memories along the way. Later on, they both got invited to a trip to Florida with a group of friends. While they were there, they finally had the chance to really talk, and it was during that trip that Oscar and Isela decided to make things official.
