Olivia and Edward were born 10 months apart into different worlds: Ed in upstate New York, and Liv moving back and forth between Connecticut and Tennessee. For over a decade across two different eras, Liv grew up in Maryville exactly a mile from our wedding venue at RT Lodge. (It is not lost on us how fitting for Ed’s love of puns to be married in Marry-ville!) Thirty years and many moves later, fate and a dating app algorithm brought us together in August 2022 amidst the hustle and bustle of New York City. We were living less than a half mile apart in Brooklyn. Liv had just moved to her dream apartment in Park Slope, and Ed had spent six years in Prospect Heights. We hit it off immediately. Seating us at our first date, the waitress said “you two must be in love, the way you look at each other.” Ed had already planned to relocate to Los Angeles for his job, and the moving van pulled up to his apartment less than three months after our first date. The next year entailed many trips back and forth between NY, LA, and destinations nearer and further as we got to know each other, met the other’s family, and built our relationship. (Memorable moments include a wedding with all of Ed’s family in Texas two months after our first date, which Olivia deemed the "girlfriend olympics.") In August 2023, Liv decided to make her own way to Los Angeles, and we moved in together to our current apartment. After our wedding with all you lovely people, we hope to move back to the East Coast near the end of 2026 to be nearer our families, friends, and where we met.
