Come and meet us where we met!

Jordan and Oliver met on November 7th, 2014 at SUNY Geneseo’s Hockey Rink, Wilson Ice Arena. Oliver was a member of a club called UAA (Undergraduate Alumni Association), and Jordan was a new freshman on campus looking to get her and her friends involved in something new. In seeking to accomplish this, Jordan, along with her Bridesmaid Cassidy, joined UAA and volunteered to hand out programs at the SUNY Geneseo vs. SUNY Potsdam hockey game - given there was the promise of Wegman's gift cards for the volunteers. Jordan got paired with Oliver upon her arrival, and the two very quickly developed an easy back and forth. Was Oliver a bit rude in telling freshman Jordan that a Biology major, "wasn’t for her" after only a few minutes of small talk? Yes! Was he right in the end? Also yes! After this brief exchange, Jordan and her friends went back to their dorms in Onondaga Hall and discussed the event, as well as, "that blunt boy who kept making them laugh." Ralph was his name, right? Oliver, ever one for creating nostalgia in the moment, went home and journaled about his day, "You recently volunteered at the hockey game for UAA and met this girl Jordan who joined the club while you were pledging and she seems like someone you may want to get to know more." Following months of friendship, the pair decided to make it official on May 13th, 2015, right before leaving Geneseo for summer vacation. This May 13th, 2025 marks 10 years of Oliver & Jordan! The two have lived in three different apartments together (thank you to our friends and family for helping us move each time!!); one where they even got to live with Jordan’s maid of honor Emily for two years! Currently they live in Troy, with Emily across the park and Best Man Nick just a couple blocks up the street! They are loving parents to their mischievous cat Arthur, and miss their strong loving pup Bogey everyday. Last August 30th, Oliver (finally) proposed to Jordan on the beach in Chatham, Massachusetts, and this August 30th, they cannot wait to get married surrounded by their favorite people, and just a few steps away from where they first met.
