We will be live streaming our wedding! We will be emailing out a Zoom link closer to our wedding day. We hope that you can join us virtually!
Our story started the same as many do: at a bar over a game of flip cup. Also typical- Adam was trying to impress Shannon while she was more interested in talking to someone about their dog. That night we went our separate ways. Fast forward a few weeks later and Shannon is out with some girlfriends when she sees Adam from across the bar, as he was chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool, sending out the vibes. As she walked by, they link eyes and both give a perplexed look, as if they knew each other somehow. Shannon walked over to him and the following conversation unfolds. Shannon: Hey, is your name Adam? (so taken aback by her beauty that he forgot his own name) Adam: No.....my name is Adam. Shannon: ...wait.. I..huh? I thought I just said that, didn't I say that? For the rest of the night, we tried to figure out where we knew each other from, and why the other seemed so familiar, unintentionally getting to know each other right then and there.... And now we're getting married!!
Knowing the Shannon likes hiking and the outdoors, Adam came up with a brilliant idea, probably the best proposal ideas out of all proposal ideas ever, but he couldn't pull it off alone. So he called in some accomplices, Shannon's sister Caitlin (Maid of Honor) and her friend. Through some expertly preplanned coordinated tactics, Caitlin and her friend were planning to go on a hike to the Eternal Flame trail in Buffalo, and just so happened to invite Shannon and Adam along. Naturally, their dog Clover had to come along for the fun! It was a sunny fall day, and the hike was not too difficult, and finally the whole group made it to the end. The end of the gorge trail is where they found the "Eternal Flame", a natural gas leak which is lit, creating a small flame, often behind a waterfall. The brilliant plan was to have Caitlin and her friend ask Shannon to take their picture, while Adam tied the ring to Clover's collar while Shannon's back was turned ......This almost happened.... Instead, Shannon turned around to see Adam 20 feet away fiddling with Clover's collar and a white thing sticking out from the collar. Shannon: What's on Clover's neck? Adam: Umm, she's bleeding, but its cool. I put a band-aid on it. Shannon: What?! That is not the thing to tell the Dog Mom Nurse! Trying to distract Shannon, Caitlin asked for another picture. When Shannon turned back around to check Clover she saw there was a ring around her collar and Adam was down on one knee!
