A mutual friend reached out to Audrey and mentioned this guy who was going to the same college as her and said "he's super nice...you should talk to him"! Audrey was too shy to reach out on her own, so she convinced her friend to reach out and share her profile with him. Of course, the friend texted Nolan too and mentioned that Audrey would be "a familiar face on campus". Not long after, we started talking. We stayed up until nearly 4 am that first night talking about anything we could think of! We both knew right away that there was a connection and we couldn't help but talk nonstop. Of course with it being early-on in the pandemic, the first month of our relationship was spent staying up late on Facetime and talking over the phone every chance we could get, since we weren't able to spend time together in person yet. It wasn't until a month later that one of Audrey's friends put together a surprise for Nolan to meet her for the first time, in person. After that night, we spent as much time together as possible and had the most adventurous summer going for drives, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. Fast forward to freshman year of college, we both ended up in the same speech class...completely unplanned! Because of the pandemic, the course was hybrid. This meant half of the class went in person on one day, while the other half was online; and then the second day they switched. We of course were split up and never went to class together. But within the first couple of weeks our professor assigned a project where he randomly paired us with someone in the class. The assignment was to write a speech introducing your partner so everyone could get to know our classmates better. And what do you know...Mr. Edwin Faunce unknowingly paired us together. So while we are forever grateful for our friend for introducing us to each other, we have no doubt that it was fate all along!

We were both eager to go camping and had been trying to plan a camping trip with our friends before the summer ended. Us and our two best friends, Kelsey and Kale, ended up going to Yankee Springs State Park in Michigan for a weekend of tent camping, fishing, and kayaking. The second day of the trip we planned to go out to the one and only bar in town for dinner and drinks, but of course in normal fashion we had to get a few pictures on the pier at the lake where we were staying before we left. Us girls got dressed up for the evening and Kelsey made extra sure I looked good for the pictures by doing my hair for me, since she knew I didn't plan to give much attention to it. While I took pictures of Kelsey and Kale on the pier, Nolan got prepared! Right as we went to take our own pictures, Nolan dropped down on one knee and completely shocked me! We called all our family and friends to share the news and spent the evening enjoying drinks, dinner, and listening to live music with our friends! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with all of you!
