Frankfurt International Airport

Frankfurt airport is definitely the easiest international airport to fly into. From there, you can either take a train to Koblenz Hbf (~1hr) or rent a car and drive the Autobahn!

Travel Note

Sightseeing recommendations

1. Daytrips to downtown Frankfurt, Koblenz, Bonn or Cologne. 2. Boat tour on the river the Rhine (one day or multi-day tours available with multiple vendors). The most beautiful part is between Mainz and Koblenz, which includes the famous Loreley as well as 20+ castles. 3. Rheingau wine tour. Our favorite vineyards include Johannisberg Castle and Weingut Schloss Vollrads. 4. Ruedesheim am Rhein and Niederwald Monument - Ruedesheim is a town in the Rhine Valley. It’s known for winemaking, especially of Riesling wines. The monument is built between 1871 and 1883 to commemorate the unification of Germany and offers stunning views over the Rhine valley. 5. Visit Cochem castle/Mosel valley - also known for wines and castles (favorite is Cochem Castle).
