Question

The invitation says there will be a potluck and I have also heard that we should bring an appetizer. What's up?

Answer

Everyone loves appetizers and so we decided to have people bring and share an appetizer that they love.

But I don't know how to make a fancy, wedding appetizer. What should I do?

Answer

We don't want fancy! Bring something that you love to share or love to eat!

So, I don't cook. What now?

Answer

No worries! If you love chips and salsa bring that! We all love cut up veggies!

I am not able to bring any food. Is that okay?

Answer

Yes! The idea behind us having a communal sharing of food is to refocus on the importance community! In a community, we sometimes provide for others and sometimes we accept what is provided. The only thing that you are required to bring is YOU.

What about beverages?

Answer

We are going to provide non-alcoholic beverages to be shared by all. However, please feel free to bring your favorite adult beverage to sip after the ceremony. We do not expect this to be shared.

What should I wear?

Answer

This is an outside wedding in October. Wear what is comfortable for you! Do you love dressing to the nines? Go for it! Are jeans and a flannel shirt your thing? Perfect. If it's rainy, there are places we will be that are covered. But please bring rain gear to get from place to place.

Will there be seating?

Answer

Yes! There will be chairs for the wedding that can be used afterward. But if you have a favorite camp chair or picnic blanket, please bring it! Mabry-Hazen is a beautiful place to picnic!

What about presents?

Answer

The only gift that Nik and Blake wish for is your presence on their special day and they are so excited to see you! For those who do wish to gift the couple, Nik and Blake would be overjoyed with a contribution towards their honeymoon fund to the British Isles. Nik and Blake have not had time away in years and so they are looking forward to this time where they can focus on each other. The Isles are a special place to both because they both have dreamed of visiting Ireland, England, and Scotland to find some ancestral magic and visit Hogwarts! Since Nik and Blake do not want anyone to feel pressured to give, all gifting to the honeymoon fund can be done by clicking on the "Registry" tab of this website and give using your credit/debit card.
