FAQs

We hope the following FAQ's will help answer your questions and provide guidance so you can enjoy our wedding!
Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 1, so we can have an accurate headcount for our wedding events.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal/Fall Cocktail Attire: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses; Festive Fall colors are encouraged! Although our wedding decorative color scheme is black and white, we would prefer for guests not to wear white. Thank you :)

Question

Can I bring a date/are my kids invited?

Answer

We've included the names of everyone invited on your invitation. If you have any questions or already threw out the envelope, feel free to reach out to either of us. Also, please note that our wedding will be an adults-only affair.

Question

Is there transportation to the wedding venue?

Answer

Shuttles will depart from the accommodated hotels and bring guests to the wedding venue and will also be available to bring guests back to the accommodated hotels following the reception. We are also working to get transportation following the After Party so please use our RSVP page to let us know if you'll be joining us for the After Party!

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes! There is parking right in front of The Estate at the East Wind. Of course, if you are planning to drive that evening, please celebrate responsibly!

Question

Are there any events the day after the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We will be hosting a Casual Gathering from 11:00 am-2:00 pm at the Sound Avenue Bistro in Riverhead, NY, which is about a 10-minute drive from the East Wind. If you're on your way home or if you plan to stay around for the weekend, come stop by to say hello or goodbye to the bride and groom! There will be light bites and a cash bar. Please Note: This is not a brunch, but both of our accommodated hotels offer complimentary breakfast. In addition, we will not be providing transportation to the Casual Gathering.

Question

How far is New York City from the East Wind?

Answer

New York City is a great destination to visit, but please note that it is about a 1.5-hour drive from the wedding venue. If you are planning to visit the city before or after the wedding, please take traffic into consideration and plan accordingly.
