Have a question? We have answers!
Question

Is Covid-19 going to affect your wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately with a heavy heart we had to make the decision to postpone our original wedding date of August 16, 2020. We look forward to 2021 with more optimism and to seeing everyone on our new date!

Question

When will the formal invitations be mailed?

Answer

We hope to mail out formal invitations by late April of 2021. Please advise us of any address changes by no later than the end of March.

Question

I just tried to RSVP, but I couldn't find the page. How do I RSVP?

Answer

As your invitation stated, the deadline was June 11th. We have since disabled the RSVP page and not able to accommodate any further requests. All non-respondents have been marked as declined. If you previously declined but had a schedule change that allowed you to attend, please contact us at thenovakwedding21@gmail.com to see if we can still accommodate you.

Question

Will your wedding be practicing social distancing?

Answer

With the rollout of the vaccine and the number of people who are fully vaccinated, we will try our best to maintain some sense of normalcy. We have added more space to our reception in case we need to spread out. The staff is prepared to take the extra steps to keep things safe and sanitary for all in attendance. We want our wedding to be celebrated to the fullest extent and in the safest ways possible. There will be mingling, laughing, dancing, and entertainment galore! So let's get this party started!

Question

Are you requiring everyone to be vaccinated?

Answer

In an ideal world we would but unfortunately, we can't enforce that. However, our venue does follow the state's CDC public space guidelines. We will need to be following whatever the public rules are at that time. As things move forward we are seeing more public restrictions dropping but we need to make sure everyone is doing their part in protecting the most venerable. We are aware of a growing number of our invited guests that are fully vaccinated or are in the middle of getting vaccinated. Those that are choosing not to should take the extra steps to prevent themselves from catching and spreading this disease. We would like to encourage those individuals to keep social distancing and keeping up with staying Covid free by getting tested. We will keep you all up-to-date with what our venue is requiring our guests to do. There may be masks inforced, proof of vaccination needed, or a negative covid test required to enter the building. We won't know for sure until then.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your invitation says any number other than 1, then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you. Our meals are plated and the RSVP will only cover who is on the invitation.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Outside of our wedding party, we would like to keep this adults-only, with the exception of some 16 and up guests. We want you to have a day off to enjoy yourself!

Question

I just got my formal invitation and my whole household is invited, but only two of us can make it, how do we rsvp?

Answer

Yay! First, congrats that USPS didn't lose your invitation! With the online RSVP, it should be easy to select who is coming and who is declining. There is an option to RSVP for everyone on the invitation, but you can also individually select who is coming and their meal choice. Just simply type in your name on the RSVP tab to pull up your household. There, you should see a list of all the plus ones. You can click the "WILL NOT ATTEND" button next to their name. Those that are attending, just click the "WILL ATTEND" button and you will be prompted to selecting their meal choice.

Question

What is an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

An unplugged ceremony is when all electric devices are prohibited from use during the ceremony. We want you to be present and in the moment with us.

Question

Can I film your ceremony?

Answer

We'd prefer that you not. We are having an unplugged ceremony. No filming or photography is permitted with any cell phone, tablet, digital camera, or other electric devices. You are more then welcome to film and selfie before the ceremony. Once the processional begins, please put away all electronic devices. There will be a paid photographer and videographer to capture the moments of our ceremony. We will be more than happy to share photos with you afterward, but we'd like to look back on our pictures and video and see your face and not your device.

Question

Since your ceremony is unplugged, am I not allowed to use my camera at the reception?

Answer

Though we ask you to leave the documenting of our ceremony to the professionals, you're more then welcome to film and photograph throughout the cocktail hour and reception. For the tech savvy, be sure to hashtag all your photos and clips at: #NewlyNovak2021 on Facebook!
