Lucas and I met each other in 2011. We were dance partners for a church dance festival. We practiced for an entire school year, and once the day of the actual performance came, I thought I'd never talk to him again. He was too cute, but I would never message him. I finally sent him a message in 2015, but he never saw my Facebook message until the year 2016. We began dating as he was attending college in Utah and I was attending school in California. Our love for each other blossomed and 3 years later, here we are... ENGAGED.
Lucas and I both had a very busy year, resulting in little time with one another because of our opposite schedules. On Christmas Eve, Lucas decided to surprise me by taking me on a cute Christmas date and spoiling me. He first drove me to go get my nails done, but I quickly said no to that because I had a gel manicure on my hands that had already grown out, and I wanted to wait to get my nails done after I got back from my Arizona trip with my family. He then drove me to Del Osso Farms to take me ice skating, but yet again, I said no because he was suffering from a knee injury and I didn't want to go by myself or have him hurt himself even more. Luke was in such good spirits and right off the top of his head came up with last minute plans to revisit places that we had gone on dates, and it was just a really great time taking a trip down memory lane. After visiting the last place, he got on one knee and asked me to marry him. I definitely could not say no to that one! We are so excited for this new chapter in our lives, and we can't wait to see you there on our big day!
