Do you believe in fate? Is the age old saying true-- is timing everything? We think so. Natalie and Nathaniel grew up in the same home town, attended the same junior high and high school, and even overlapped in higher education at Western Kentucky University for a few semesters. But it wasn't until 2016 when the two came close enough to meet! After years of missing each other, existing in the same space but never interacting, they unknowingly put their feet on the same path in 2016 by applying for and accepting a position to work in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on a beautiful island on Lake Superior. It took 23 years for the 2 to become friends, and it took 10 days of being friends to become more than friends. The background of their budding romance was Lake Superior sunsets and hikes to the top of the island to stare out across the water at beautiful Canada. It took about a month for them to fall deeply in love. The rest is history. 4 years later they are tying the knot.

Unfortunately, our world is dealing with a long awaited global pandemic. Because of this our big day is CANCELED! We have decided that we are so attached to our date, and so excited to finally be husband and wife, that we are going to elope with just our parents, Natalie's sister and her partner, and our photographer. While our big day is canceled, our lives together as a married couple are just beginning! Feel free to still browse our registry!
