FAQs

Question

What's the weather typically like this time of year?

Answer

Late March in Orlando is warm and pleasant - usually mid-70s and low 80s during the day and cooler in the evening. We recommend bringing a light shawl, jacket, or wrap just in case the temperature drops. You'll be glad to have it if the night gets cool!

Question

Is the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes - both will be held at Paradise Cove. No need to travel between venues!

Question

What if I have mobility issues?

Answer

Paradise Cove is wheelchair accessible and has nearby parking. If you need extra assistance, please let us know in advance and we'll gladly accommodate.

Question

Will there be any cultural or religious traditions I should know about?

Answer

Yes! Our celebration blends Hindu and Christian traditions. More info to come...

Question

Can I wear Indian attire? What does that look like?

Answer

Yes, we’d love for you to wear Indian clothing if you feel inspired! Our wedding blends Hindu and Christian traditions, and it would mean a lot to see our culture represented and celebrated by our loved ones. If you’re from the Caribbean or South Asia, you’ve probably seen these outfits at weddings and pujas — here’s a breakdown: For Women: Sari / Saree: A beautiful long piece of fabric that’s wrapped and pinned around the body, worn with a blouse and petticoat. It’s a classic choice, but you will need help draping it properly — there are YouTube tutorial videos or think about purchasing a pre-stitched sari. If you want something easier… Lehenga: A matching blouse and skirt set with a dupatta (scarf). No draping needed and perfect for dancing! Shalwar / Anarkali Suit: A long top with matching pants and scarf — very comfy and easy to wear, especially if you’ve been to prayers or weddings back home. Style Tip: Bright colors, gold, bling, and embroidery are always a good idea. Feel free to wear bangles, big earrings, or even a little bindi if you’d like! For Men: Kurta / Kurta Set: A long tunic worn over pants (pyjama or churidar). You can dress it up with a jacket or waistcoat (like a Nehru vest). Sherwani: A more formal jacket-style outfit for a fancier look — no pressure though, a kurta alone looks sharp! Style Tip: Closed-toe dress shoes, loafers, or even nice sandals work well with these looks.

Question

Where can I buy or rent Indian attire?

Answer

Online Stores (good for shipping to the U.S. & Caribbean): Lashkaraa – Modern & traditional styles India Trend – Bright, affordable pieces Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop – Designer options Etsy – For unique or handmade finds Rentals (U.S. only): Borrow the Bazaar – Men’s & women’s outfits Raastah The Saree Room – Based in Canada, ships to the U.S. Need to drape a sari? No worries — There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube or buy a pre-stitched sari if you want the look without the fuss. And don’t stress — wearing Indian clothes is completely optional. Western formal wear is totally welcome. We just want you to come dressed in something that makes you feel good and ready to celebrate with us!

Question

Will the ceremony be on sand or grass?

Answer

Our celebration will take place on both artificial turf and concrete. Block heels, wedges, flats, and dress shoes are absolutely fine. There is sand nearby if you'd like to dip your toes in the sand or water, but it's totally optional and not part of the ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception setup.

Question

What should I do if I can't attend after RSVPing yes?

Answer

We totally understand - life happens. Please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones - but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives everyone a chance to relax and fully enjoy the festivities. Thank you so much for understanding and making arrangements in advance.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate with the people who mean the most to us. Due to our venue capacity and careful planning, only the guests listed on your invitation are invited.

Question

Can I take pictures or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests keep phones tucked away during our ceremony so our photographer and videographer can capture every special moment. We'll share the professional photos and videos afterward!
