Maid of Honor
So we met in the 3rd grade. We got into a mini argument and thought we were insulting each other by making fun of the other person's last name. The rest is history! We have literally done LIFE together! We’ve had the most amazing times and the worst times together. A special memory that I have is being able to be with you the day Kalib was born. That was pretty amazing! I can't express the happiness I have for you. Throughout college and after college I've seen you go through relationships where you put your all into them, just to be with someone who wasn't deserving. I was so happy to know that true love exists and that you continued to believe despite past experiences. God has always and will always have your back!!! Derek thank you for loving her the way she deserves! Love you Rose!!!

LOVE - Unselfish, loyal, and benevolent concern for the well-being of another. 1 Corinthians used the word charity instead of love. Latin word caritas which means dearness, affection, or high regard. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 KJV [4] Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, [5] Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; [6] Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; [7] Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Always LOVE each other as Christ LOVES us. Always maintain open and honest communications. Although you may not see eye to eye on some things, take time to communicate and compromise.
Maid of Honor
Jasmine and I met freshmen year at Stillman College. We were both on the school's modeling troupe called Sophistication Unlimited Modeling Troupe. They say you meet your best friends in college and our friendship has proven that to be true. The most special memory that I have with Jasmine would be her supporting me through grieving the passing of my grandmother. She knew how much my grandmother meant to me. I didn't have to ask her to come to the funeral, she showed up on her own! She went out of her way to show up for me in a time of need and I cherish that in a friendship. The support she gave in my time of bereavement demonstrated how much of a caring and loving person she is and I am forever grateful for God bringing such a beautiful human being into my life. I love you! - Kela Bee

We met through a mutual friend and the relationship grew through fellowship. I remember going to the Alabama National Championship. Our team was in our backyard and we knew how rare that was. It was a once in a lifetime experience and one that I won’t forget. I remember pressuring you to find the one, and once she was found we strongly rejoiced together.

Jasmine is my cousin/sister and first best friend. Not sure how we met, I was told we were 2 years old and we stood back and stared at each other. And we have had a bond every since. There are so many memories from the made up dances in the bedroom, our make shift picnics, singing duets, arguing who’s gonna be Brandy or Monica. But one sticks out the most. So one time, this really big boy at school started choking me, like I couldn’t breathe. Here comes Jasmine like a little spider monkey and jumped on his back. She yelled “Get off my cousin.” I knew then that she’d always have my back, right or wrong. Because to be honest I think I was teasing the boy for crying. I pray for your continued happiness. You deserve it all. May God bless you and Derek’s union.

Unc you’ve been a part of my life since I was a little boy. It’s been a pleasure spending time with you whether it’s through family fellowship or doing music. I still think about the great times that we had doing events and recording in the studio. My favorite time doing music with you is when we went to New Orleans to do a youth event. I love you Unc. I’m happy for you finding your wife.

I met Jasmine when she was born...lol. I remember when we used to be a grandma's house. We used to go walking around the neighborhood and try to get lost...fun times...lol. I pray that God continues to guide you and Derek and that he stays at the center of your marriage. I pray that you guys love each other through the hard times and have a blast through the good. I love you both and wish you many many many years of happiness.

Derek and I met working for Regions bank. I don’t have just one memory, the bond/brotherhood we created over the years is a memory within itself. The thought provoking conversations, the kick backs, getting the ball rolling on our organization, the list goes on but the one of being able to stand with you as your brother as you marry Jasmine definitely will top the list!

Jas and I have known each other for a number of years. She and I both cheered for West End High School. We really bonded after reconnecting through a relative of mine. We both crossed the greatest sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She is also my sister in Christ. One memory I’ll never forget is when we went to the Plum Bar some years ago and expressed that we just had to be in each other’s lives. There was no other way. I’m proud of the woman you’ve become. We shared many laughs and cried many tears together. I pray that God continue to bless you, Derek and your dreams and visions. There will be tough times but during those times pray without ceasing. If you need someone to talk to, talk to God first then your husband. Always put God first, family second, and then everything else.

I’ve know Flood all my life. I have no memory of not being around him and his family. I remember the summer I came down from New York and my uncles built us a basketball hoop. We played ball everyday that summer. I told my mom I didn’t want to go home when my parents picked me up. I had so much fun. May you live everyday as if it were your last. May you cherish each other as if no one else exists. May you support each other and remain best friends always.

Jasmine and I met in nursing school at Stillman College. A special memory that I have with her is when we went to the Saved in the City Retreat (2016): one of many! It was special because I was able to witness her start her spiritual journey as a woman of God. I pray that you are always a praying and supportive wife. Stay wise and pray about everything! Remember you have to make the choice to choose your spouse daily through the good and bad. And always keep it sexy!

Derek and I met through Darian Weaver. My advice is to love each other more and more each day... communicate with each other even when y’all get mad at each other and apologize when wrong... keep the love alive for infinity.

We met through Miki’a. It has been so long that I don’t even remember how it happened. I just fell in love with her and knew she was supposed to be my friend/sister. I remember when Jasmine, Kalib, Mikia and Kaylar came to Atlanta for a girls weekend. It was one of the hardest months for me, and I wasn’t expressing it to anyone. We went to the movies, out to eat, the JCole Concert and at one point at dinner Jasmine asked me how was I doing...and genuinely meant it. She said, “But how are you really doing?” And I was able to have a real conversation with her and felt so encouraged afterwards. I also felt like God spoke through her at that moment to give me the peace I needed about things. I’m so thankful for a friend who knows God and can stop and ask, “But how are you really doing?”.

Unc you’ve been a part of my life since I was born. I remember you picking me up from school as a kid and us hanging out for hours. You’ve always been an inspiration to me through basketball and music. One of my greatest memories was the first time our basketball team won the championship at Dawson. Seeing how happy you were winning the championship made me feel good. Glad I could be there with you. I wish you much success and happiness in your marriage.

We met in high school through Jasmine’s maid of honor, Miki’a. God has truly blessed me with someone I can call my sister and I am forever grateful. I’m wishing you the best on this journey as you become one. May your lives continue to be filled with happiness and joy. You two are the foundation of just how wonderful love can be. I pray for a blessed marriage and may the love you share today grow stronger as you grow old together.

We met as childhood friends back in the early 80s. We have soooo many memories, but one that I have is when we drove my Mom’s car to ATL and the car broke down. Marlon and Tee had to come pick us up! My advice to you is to always, always keep God first and let him direct you in everything that you do!

Jasmine and I met in nursing school. I remember thinking, "She's got to be the smartest person here" and to no surprise she was later the Valedictorian of our nursing class😊. She's one of the most genuine and kindest people I know. And I'm blessed to share a friendship with her. I pray for my friends daily. I ask God to give them the desires of their hearts and I pray in agreement to their daily prayers. For this new life Jasmine will begin I pray it be everything she's desired and prayed for.
