What day/time is the wedding?

Answer

We are tying the knot on Friday, August 8, 2025. Our wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM, and we kindly ask all guests to arrive by 3:30 PM to allow enough time to park, get settled, and be seated. Arriving early ensures you won’t miss any part of this special moment, as late arrivals will not be able to join the ceremony once it has started. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!

The reception and ceremony will be held at the Charlevoix Yacht Club in Charlevoix, Michigan. This beautiful waterfront venue offers stunning views of Lake Charlevoix, perfect for our special day. The formal address is 220 Ferry Ave., Charlevoix, MI 49720.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is Coastal Chic Semi-Formal with a touch of preppy flair, perfect for an outdoor yacht club wedding! We recommend light, airy fabrics and polished yet comfortable styles. For women, think flowing dresses or jumpsuits in soft hues, bold patterns, or nautical-inspired colors. For men, light-colored suits in beige, gray, or navy, paired with a tie or pocket square, work perfectly—feel free to embrace classic preppy details like stripes, gingham, or subtle plaids. Is the wedding inside or outside?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside, right on the Lake Charlevoix. A 90-minute cocktail hour, followed by an intimate dinner will take place on a covered porch overlooking the water, so you’ll be surrounded by beautiful views all evening. Dress for the fresh air and get ready for a memorable lakeside celebration! There will also be access to inside the yacht club if added shelter is needed, which is where the food and dancing will be!

As much as we'd love to have all the little ones join the fun, this celebration is an adults-only event. Think of it as the perfect opportunity for a date night! We’re looking forward to partying with you and appreciate your understanding.

We’re excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family! Due to space and venue limitations, we’re keeping the guest list intimate. If your invite doesn’t mention a plus one, we kindly ask that you RSVP for yourself. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out, and we’ll be happy to clarify!

Absolutely! We want you to capture and remember every special moment. We know this day is just as important to many of you as it is to us. Feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like during the ceremony—it’s all about coming together and creating lasting memories. Just be mindful of those around you, and most importantly, enjoy the moment with us!

Will there will be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, there will be an open bar at our wedding! We’re excited to treat you to a selection of drinks to keep the celebration going all night long. The drinks are on us, but the hangover is on you—so plan accordingly and enjoy responsibly! Please note that there won’t be a shuttle, so make arrangements for transportation ahead of time.

We’ve planned a delightful and interactive dining experience for you! We’ll start with a stunning charcuterie board featuring an assortment of meats, cheeses, and fresh fruits, perfect for snacking. During the cocktail hour, passed hors d’oeuvres will be served to keep things savory and satisfying. The fun continues with live food stations, where chefs will prepare fresh, custom dishes right in front of you. What are the nearest airports?

For our guests traveling from out of town, here are the nearest airports: 1. Traverse City Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) – About 1.5 hours away. 2. Grand Rapids Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) – Approximately 2.5 hours from Charlevoix. We are so grateful to our out-of-town friends and family for making the journey to celebrate with us! We recommend renting a car from any of these airports to explore the beautiful surroundings and get to the venue with ease. Safe travels—we can't wait to see you there!

We don’t have a reserved room block for our wedding, but Charlevoix offers plenty of options! Since Charlevoix is a popular destination, especially during wedding season, we recommend booking as early as possible to secure your stay.
