They met during a Super Bowl party at a local bar called Surfer. Emily was hanging out with a group of her girlfriends when Will tried to squeeze between them to order a drink from the bartender. Will gave Emily a funny pick up line after he got his drink and Emily was hooked from then on. Emily and Will hung out the rest of the day and they have been together ever since.

Emily's parents were in town for the weekend to celebrate the end of her first semester of nursing school. They got together at Will's parents house for dinner. Soon after arriving, they all walked outside into the summer heat for a surprise. Will asked Emily to meet him in the grass. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him in front of both their families. They were all so full of joy and full of happy tears.
