From "why not" to "I do"

February 7 2022-Present

The credit for the start of our relationship is owed to our dear friend, Jonathan Frank. And you better believe, he doesn't let us forget it. We were both asked the simple, yet weighted question, "would you go on a blind date?". As you can tell by the title, we both said "why not". Although there was the obvious hesitation, followed up with Instagram/Facebook stalking in order to vet a bit more, we both showed up at the O5 restaurant on February 7th. Both of us being somewhat cautious in initial interactions, you would've thought it was going to be one of those quick dates. It was anything but. We soon went on more dates, but the 4th date really "sealed the deal". Trey would not call himself too much of a chef, but this particular date, he decided to do something special for the girl he was quickly falling for...homemade pizza night. From start to finish, it was perfect. That date led to further discussions about being "official", and so it was! To say it has been a whirlwind of a year of dating would be an understatement. Since our first date, we have gone to concerts, traveled to NH (first flight together), met friends and family, went to several weddings (2 of them being for siblings), lake trips, birthdays (Mollie's family LOVES a good birthday party), checked out the old stomping grounds in AL, celebrated the birth of friends' babies, and so much more. In the midst of all these amazing things, our relationship blossomed. We said those 3 little words "I love you"...Mollie wanted to keep things spicy and wait to say for a few weeks after Trey ;) Most importantly to us, our families and friends got to know us better and better (Mollie's dad even helped Trey remodel his kitchen). All of these moments culminated in what happened on December 31st. The proposal. After what seemed like an eternity, Trey finally got down on one knee. Mollie was actually surprised given how much Trey had to do to hide it from her. And as you can tell by this website, she said "Yes!". And because we love stress, but mostly each other so much, our wedding is happening 5 months after getting engaged. So let the whirlwind continue! We are beyond excited to celebrate our wedding day with our close friends and family. All the credit for our beautiful story goes to God. He has shaped us and brought us to these moments. His grace and mercy to us has never ceased and we cannot wait to see where He leads us in marriage. Sincerely, Trey and Mollie
