Our Love Journey

God’s Divine Plan

Mitzi’s Story: Sometime around spring of 2010 I walked into church with my infant son to support my mom’s new “singles service”. My mother knew that I should be singing again, and begged me to come back to help the team. Infant in tow, I stepped back into the destiny God had originally designed for me to be in and took the platform. That’s where I first laid eyes on my future husband and didn't even realize who he truly was. He challenged me from the beginning to let go of my ‘NY’ mindset and to lead the way God called me to. One day at sound check, I asked Kenny to sing and he politely told me “no”. The next week or two passed and I asked him again and this time he sang. Involuntarily, I threw my shoe at him and asked him to marry me right then and there. Little did I know this statement would one day come to life. Through our love for Jaden, we quickly grew into inseparable best friends that laughed and learned from each other. God told me clearly “this is your husband” and I knew in my heart that he was the one. Christmas 2018, my love and best friend proposed and I (through tears) said yes! Our journey, though long for some, has been one founded in faith, friendship, love, honesty, trust, and boundaries. We have made a commitment to God and one another to keep Him first in our lives, our hearts, and our home. Kenny’s Story: What she said! ❤️ 😂 Mitzi: 🙄
