In very early 2015, we met at a McDonald's - of all places. Mindy had gone in with her family for a bite to eat, and ran into her friend Juan Izaguirre, who was with another friend - Agustin. She barely looked twice at Agustin.

After we fleetingly met up at McDonald's, Agustin was interested in knowing more about Mindy. He asked Juan about her, and eventually, they started talking online. After a couple of weeks, Mindy agreed to hang out with Agustin and their group of mutual friends. They all piled into Juan's van, and went to see a movie about children building robots. Mindy and Agustin flirted over the popcorn, and bonded over their mutual love of roasting their friend Maria. Mindy agreed to go on a solo date with Agustin soon after.

Mindy and Agustin were both somewhat nervous for that first date. This turned out to be unnecessary, though, as they began sharing the ways in which they would acheive world domination over dinner at a favorite spot: Tacos Kissi on Corpus Christi street (which is no longer a Tacos Kissi, RIP). They went to see a movie together that night: Chappie, which featured a robot with sentience and a soul, and a semi popular South African hip-hop group. (It's a fun movie, watch it if you haven't already!) They ended the night having coffee outside of Starbucks, sipping, sharing music, and talking as though they had known each other forever. When Mindy got home that night (very late), she sent a Snapchat selfie to her friends that read "I just had the perfect first date."

Agustin proposed to Mindy when they were surrounded by some of their best friends while celebrating Second Christmas. This year in March, they celebrate 5 years of being together, and before the end of the year, will begin the next chapter of their lives as a married couple!
