Our story began when our mutual friends organized a ski weekend in Lake Tahoe with a mix of coworkers from Stanford and friends from the Midwest. As we were both traveling to Tahoe one of the largest snowstorms of that year came in. Ed almost didn't make it in that night... (thankfully he did). We ended up having a really good time the first night and enjoyed each other's personalities and conversations together. Things just seemed to click between us. The massive snowstorm closed the ski resort we were supposed to go to due to high winds and we ended up spending a lot of time together the next couple of days. As our weekend came to a close, we ended up going out on a date together the very next day before Ed had to head back to Illinois. We continued to talk on the phone for hours on end and planned a trip together to Chicago. Spoiler alert, the trip went well and over the next 6 years our relationship continued to grow as we navigated long distance, grad school, health scares, moving for one another, adopting fur babies, and all of the adventures in between. We are so grateful for the snowstorm that changed both of our lives forever! We cannot wait for our next chapter :)
