We meet at Riverbank church, well we actually grew up down the road from each-other, but didn't actually start talking until years later when we crossed paths in church. We spoke a few times and we where both curious about the other person but didn't really do anything about it. Then one day I went up to say hello, trying to be all cool and casually bump him in the arm, but I ended up hitting my head on the door he was holding open. After i played that off as best as posable we talked for a while about our week and jobs. Then Tanner remembered there was a circus in town! I had never been to one before so he said we should go together. On the hottest day of July (July 14th) we decided to go sit in a circus tent with no air. Luckily it was the best first date ever. and sense then we have been inseparable.

I have always wanted to see the big Christmas tree in NY, it has been a dream for a while. I had made a comment to tanner one day in passing, that we should try and go down this year. I didn't actually think it would happen, but little did I know how truly wonderful tanner is. We started looking for hotels and how long the drive would be and the best way to travel. Then he suggests we ask my best friend Jocelyn to join us! I was still oblivious to his brilliant plan and was very excited to have her come too. We make out 6 hour drive down to NY in my very small car with 4 grown adults, while listening to Christmas music the whole way. Once we get there tanner seems a little nervous and keeps touching his pocket I just assuming he is hungry and nervous he might loose his wallet in the big city. We walk around Manhattan and down 5th avenue, it was so magical seeing all the people and the Christmas lights, and all the windows were decorated so nicely. Then we make our way to the tree. as we turn the corner we see all the people like a mash pit at a concert, I'm just amazed with everything no idea that tanner is having a panic attack wondering how to pull this off with all the people. By Gods grace we push our way threw the crowd and find the perfect spot right under the tree to take pictures. As tanner and I stand next to each other under the tree Jocelyn and her boyfriend are taking pictures with my camera and phone. Then tanner turns to me and gets on one knee, my heart sinks to my stomach and my face makes the biggest smile i can image. He has the most beautiful speech I have ever heard, I never thought someone could love this much. As I listen to him speak all i can think is "shut up I want to kiss you" and he pulls out this amazing ring, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Everyone around us started clapping and I couldn't stop smiling. We then latter went to this bar that gave you free pizza with every drink witch was amazing!
