They bonded over a love of hiking and food, and make a point of visiting Anza Borrego State Park when Joy is in town from her big-time job as a naturopathic doctor in Washington state.

Megan and Cara met through Cru at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. They love talking scripture, getting coffee, and filming silly dance videos together. Cara is a prayerful woman full of joy who has prayed for and encouraged Megan in happy and hard times.
Emily Matau

Emily and Megan were roommates Megan's senior year of college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. They enjoy backpacking, studying the Bible, and enjoying a good sunset together. Emily is a wise, generous, powerhouse of a woman who will be a first-time mom soon!

Ellie and Megan were roommates all four years of college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. They co-hosted the Cru bible study in their town house where all of the bridesmaids met. They enjoy learning about Jesus, hiking, dancing, and cooking together. Watch out for Ellie's killer moves on the dance floor!

Gloria and Megan met through Cru at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. They enjoy learning about the Bible, adventuring outdoors, and working out together. Gloria is a determined, faithful, steadfast woman who has prayed for and encouraged Megan for many years.

Megan and Alexis met through Cru at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. They love talking Bible, cooking good food, and admiring art and design together. Alexis is a creative woman full of patience and conviction who has prayed for and encouraged Megan for many years.

Tom has been friends with Jordan for over a decade. Jordan and Tom have done a lot of nerd stuff together over the years, including playing Dungeons & Dragons and Magic the Gathering. Jordan has been an incredibly loyal friend. He has a strong moral compass and has been available to talk through the exciting things and the difficult problems of life.

Heleau and Tom met in 2020 at North Coast Church, where Healeau works on the Facilities team. Tom and Heleau consistently worked the same events due to the pandemic. A passing hello eventually turned into hanging out weekly, catching up on life, playing puzzle games, and having a fun time together.
Dan Groth

Dan and Tom first meet at a church camp in 2017. They have been in multiple bible studies together, and have actively pushed each other closer to God. Dan served with Tom on the tech team at North Coast Church for quite some time. They have guided each other through difficult decisions and have had fun times along the way.
