Megan, As I was looking up sample wedding vows and what some traditional vows are supposed to look like, I noticed that most of them spent a lot of time talking about how one person feels about the other. As I read these I begun to realize that most vows aren't a reflection of real life. We aren't always going to have explicitly positive feelings about eachother. Some days are going to be hard. Some days we are going to be pissed off or sad. But, I believe that it is in these bad days that we discover what love actually is. Love isn't a feeling, it's a choice. It is a decision we make to consider another person's wants and needs above our own. And that is what I vow to you, Megan. I vow to choose you every morning, every night and every day. I saw your silly and your gentleness, your open mind, your persistence, the full measure of love all for your best friend's wee babe.
